Food Drive

The National Honor Society, in conjunction with CRS,  is conducting a food drive in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Canned and boxed items will be distributed among local food pantries. Each class is assigned two items from which to choose.

Seniors are asked to bring cranberry sauce or gravy.

Juniors are asked to bring  stuffing or beans.

Sophomores are assigned instant potatoes or sweet potatoes.

Freshmen are asked to bring corn or pumpkin filling.

Faculty and staff are assigned any items they choose.

All drop off boxes can be found in Mrs. Nietz’s room – 210.   The items must be delivered to the food pantries by Wednesday, November 20th, so please bring in your donation by Monday, November 18th.  The class with the greatest mass will be awarded a dress down day.  Please be generous and help those less fortunate than you.

Coach Dakosty Returns

Marian Catholic High School Principal Jean Susko proudly announces the Marian Catholic High School’s 2020 Football Season Head Coach as Stan Dakosty. We are looking forward to rebuilding the Marian football program and Stan is the right choice to do so. With 43 years of football coaching experience and 40 of the years as Marian Catholic High School’s head football coach, he is well known as the winningest football coach in District 11 history, posting a career record of 309-148-3. Stan’s teams have won eight District 11 titles, six conference championships and the 1990 PIAA state crown. He has sent over 270 players onto play college football and many have gone into coaching football. Stan plans to not only strengthen our Marian program but also work on rebuilding a little Colts program.

According to Stan Dakosty, “After thoughtful consideration and the support of my family, I am proud and excited to return as the head football coach of Marian Catholic High School. As the head coach, my intent will be to run a first class program that will bring out the best of the Marian student athletes on and off the field. I will be reaching out to the Marian Family, who have been so supportive to our program in the past, asking them to continue the support and to build upon it. “
