Marian Catholic High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently competed in the 2022 FBLA Regional Leadership Conference. Twenty-five of 48 members competed. Members selected from various events that required taking an objective test at the school a week before the actual event or performing in front of judges the day of conference. All members were invited to attend regardless of whether they competed or not and twenty-four members traveled to Susquehanna University on December 19th. To start the day, Susquehanna University leaders, including Basil Holobetz and Dr. Matthew Rousu, welcomed our regional schools. Mr. Tim Murray was this year’s keynote speaker and passed along “CEO Words of Wisdom.” The rest of the morning was filled with a choice of three workshops. The first, “Fundamentals of BlockChain and Cryptocurrency, was led by Mr. Robert Nickey. Secondly, Mr. James Tierny led “An Economist Opens an Improv Theatre,” which discussed how improv skills help with business management and entrepreneurship. Thirdly, Mr. Drew Kruger gave valuable advice in his session “Setting Up Your LinkedIn Profile.”
